Allied Universal Email Component Library
Replacing one-off email production with a scalable, reusable design system.

OVERVIEW
Designing reusable components instead of individual emails.
Allied Universal relied heavily on email marketing, but campaign production had become increasingly inconsistent and time-consuming. Rather than continuing to design individual emails, I created a modular component library that enabled faster production while maintaining a consistent visual identity across high-volume communications.
HIGHLIGHTS
MY ROLE
Creating a library the marketing automation team could build from.
I designed a comprehensive library of reusable email modules, standardized typography and spacing, created flexible layout patterns, and collaborated with the marketing automation team to ensure the system could support a wide range of future campaign needs.

THE CHALLENGE
The same layouts were getting rebuilt repeatedly.
The marketing automation team was repeatedly rebuilding common layouts for every campaign. The challenge wasn't simply making emails look consistent—it was creating a framework that could support many different campaign types while remaining unmistakably on brand.
DESIGN APPROACH
Standardize the pieces, not the final email.
I developed a modular library of standardized components—including hero sections, content blocks, promotional areas, and calls to action—that could be mixed and matched to build complete campaigns. This "Lego-style" approach expanded the team's flexibility while preserving consistent typography, spacing, color, and interaction patterns.

OUTCOMES
Faster production with more consistent branding.
The component library transformed email production from a series of one-off design projects into a reusable design system that supported ongoing marketing efforts. By shifting the focus from individual executions to shared components, the marketing automation team gained greater autonomy while maintaining a cohesive, brand-aligned experience.
